Since I came back from furlough 3 weeks ago, I have been calling our customers to try to get an idea of how things are out there. Checking the temperature of the country so to speak. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to speak to me. Like so many who isolated, then worked from home, I am a little starved for social interaction and it has meant a lot to me being able to have these conversations.

Of course, I wanted to let everyone know that the factory is open, and we can supply screens if needed, and I wanted to get an idea of what we need to do next to be able to continue to meet demand, but mostly (for me) it has just been about the contact. Having worked for Brimonn since 1994, I have formed some real friendships and it is good to know that people are healthy and safe.

So what is the ‘temperature of the country’? I honestly don’t know. We seem to be collectively holding our breath and waiting to see what comes next. Let’s hope for the best.

So I leave you with a picture of my home office companion, who apart from begging for treats and sleeping, doesn’t seem to do much to help, but I hope a cute cat photo cheers you up 😊
